Chennai, July 29 (PTI) Lead acid storage battery manufacturer Amara Raja Batteries today reported a dip in net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. The company reported a net profit of Rs 35.72 crore for the quarter ended June 30 this year, as against Rs 42.57 crore in the same period last year, Amara Raja Batteries said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. For the year ended March 31, 2010, the company reported a net profit of Rs 167.03 crore, it said. Total income grew to Rs 446.74 crore for the quarter ended June 30, from Rs 306.53 crore in the same period last year. For the year ended March 31, 2010, the company''s total income stood at Rs 1,467.36 crore, it added.
