News posted by www.newsinfoline.com

Jaipur, July 29 (PTI) A health centre owner was arrested after a bag of 48 poisonous snakes were allegedly recovered from his possession near Transport Nagar here, police said today. It is suspected that Rajesh Kapoor, who was arrested last night after police intercepted his vehicle, was using snake products in weight-loss drugs, police said. "Kapoor said he bought the reptiles for ritualistic purposes from snake charmers and was going to release all of them in forest," they said. All the snakes found in the bag were listed in the scheduled list of Wildlife Act (conserved animal), and guilty of such crime could get jail up to seven years, they added. PTI YG APV.
