Greater Noida, July 28 -- A neighbour who was babysitting a working couple's three-month-old child on Sunday, allegedly kidnapped him. The couple lodged a case of kidnapping at the Surajpur Police Station. "As usual, on Sunday we gave our three-month-old son Ritik to our neighbour Seema to look after him till we return. When we came back in the evening, their house was locked. We thought they may have gone to nearby market. We searched for them but could not find them," said Rajiv Das, the father. "When we called Seema's husband's mobile phone he told us, as they were childless, they had decided to adopt him and they were taking him to Kanpur." Das said their neighbour agreed to give back their son but demanded Rs 10,000 in return. "He further warned us not to inform police otherwise he will kill our child," Das said. Das then informed the Surajpur police.
